Millions of patients rely on corticosteroids to manage serious and chronic health conditions. For many, these medications are essential.

But too often, patients experience repeated steroid cycles, escalating doses or long-term exposure without clear monitoring, coordinated care or access to safer alternatives.

The Corticosteroid Stewardship Alliance exists to ensure that corticosteroids are used carefully, intentionally and safely.

CSA’s mission is to protect patients from avoidable steroid-related harm by advancing coordinated clinical standards, improving monitoring practices and reforming policy structures that incentivize overuse.

Steroid stewardship is about safer care, not restricted care.
